I want to start a list of things that I miss and things that I will miss when I have to leave and it commences here.
Things I miss from the US:
- Fresh flowers in my house
- Hamburgers with LOTS of cheese
- Daily chocolate
- Sanitary use of the toilet/bathroom/streets
- Juice
- Cheez-Its/Potato chips/
Things I don't miss from the US:
- Saying "thanks" or "sorry" all the time! Haha, I'm going to be super rude when I get back
- Cooking (surprisingly enough)
- The fashion sense
- The heat
- Driving
- Having to go to work everyday, I like work, but the beach is so much more appealing!
- Pop
That's all for now. I'm still adjusting to things being different (even after 3 weeks!), but it's getting better. Though, I do have to have something sweet every day (besides cookies for breakfast), so I usually end up getting ice cream! : )
Love, love, love you!
P.S. List number 1 is a great place to get ideas (**hint, hint, wink, wink!)
So....4 out of 6 things you miss involve Food??
ReplyDeleteI can promise that when you use our bathrooms that they will be (mostly) sanitary (ish) relatively regularly..:)
ReplyDeleteThe hamburgers will be supplied by your daddy and Ira's responsible for flowers. I'll set Luke on the junk food - I think we have it covered! I'm also looking forward to the rude part - we'll see. Looking forward to hearing about your next adventure - love & miss you!
What funny lists, Syd - I had quite a chuckle!
ReplyDeleteI saved most of your pics on my iPad and took them over to show Grandma Singler - she really enjoyed them and we had a good time talking about some of your excursions.
She couldn't believe the time schedule there - asked " how does
anyone get the work done!?"
They don't get work done, that's the crazy thing! Everybody is so laid back and not worried about when things get done. That is the sole reason I couldn't ever live here. I'm too much of a planning, on time, deadline kinda girl :)
